This minimal saree finds its inspiration in the creative method employed by Goans to decorate their floors. Years ago, discarded China, porcelain, and jars, which once acted as mere ballast in arriving ships at Goa’s ports, became treasures as they were repurposed by Goans. These fragments were meticulously gathered, fashioned into intricate shapes, and used to adorn the floors in stunning mosaic patterns. A tradition that sparks the floral print on our saree.
Introducing a captivating play of textures, we employ a 'print on print' technique. The base comes alive with delicate grey dots, providing a subtle canvas for the blooming floral mosaic design. This mosaic artistry graces both the saree body and the pallu. To add a finishing touch, the pallu comes with the brightest tassels. Get a soft hug from this saree as it comes in the softest mulmul cotton. We also have this design in pink. Saree comes with a blouse piece as shown in the last picture.
At Mogasu, apparel is hand-dyed and hand-blocked printed by skillful artisans with love and precision. You might notice some imperfections - a testimony to the 100% original hand-printing techniques. The colours might slightly differ due to lighting and photography.
