Pitkuli is a bright red flower from my childhood memories. We as kids used to suck out the nectar from the flower and later after almost 20 years I came across this plant in Goa. I never knew the name as a kid but found this Konkani word cute. Our Pitkuli saree comes in linen with a sky blue base and red pitkuli flower patterns on the body, and a silver zari on pallu and borders. The pallu is covered with a geometric tile pattern in red and blue.
At Mogasu, apparel is hand dyed and hand blocked printed by skillful artisans with love and precision. You might notice some imperfections - a testimony to the 100% original hand printing techniques. The colours might slightly differ due to lighting and photography.
